Welcome from the Headteacher

I am delighted to welcome you to our School Website. Rainhill High School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive with 1705 students, including more than 250 in the Sixth Form.

Our School Mission Statement is Reach for the Sky @ Rainhill High. Words chosen by the students, that I believe, epitomise our ambitions.

Our students are genuinely at the heart of everything we do. We want them to be happy, and we will nurture them to be the best they can be.

The Headteacher and senior leaders have a strong vision for the future of the school that is inclusive and aspirational - OFSTED

Rainhill is a popular school. Our students come mainly from the Rainhill and Nutgrove parts of St Helens, but about 30% come from Knowsley, Widnes or Warrington homes. We are consistently oversubscribed. We are proud of our students' achievements in examinations, we are proud of the quality of relationships at the school and we are proud of the opportunities we give our pupils. However, we are not arrogant or complacent.

We want to be the best comprehensive in the North West, and to do this we listen, work hard, innovate and are self critical.
